OUR BEST VACATION EVER! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary on St. John island. Bluebitch was an amazing experience for us. Al & Ann are so accommodating and do everything they can to make your stay the best. Ann provided us with a quick tour of the island and was able to answer any and all questions relating to the island. St. John has many beautiful beaches, but to have access to your very own private beach is an added bonus and the snorkeling off their beach was the best we experienced of all!   Having access to a car is also very convenient so you are able to explore the island as much as you want without the added expense. Their property is ideally located close to town for quick trips, yet secluded enough to give space & privacy and I must also mention the best location to watch the most perfect sunsets over St. Thomas. We hope to visit St. John again soon and would love to re-visit with Al & Ann at their amazing property. Thank you Al & Ann for all the memories!      Jennifer R.,  August 2019

AWESOME  PLACE !! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

 

This villa was extremely unique. I personally loved it! The Sewers provided everything you could possibly need while on the island ( sunscreen, beach towels, beach tent, toiletries, binoculars and so much more) and they are available 24/7. The service they provide of having someone pick you up at the airport to take you to the ferry and then the Sewers pick you up at the ferry (give you a tour of the island, take you to the grocery store) and take you to the villa makes the trip go so smoothly. And the fact they provide a vehicle while you are on the island and you don't have to rent one is a huge perk. I highly recommend this place and will stay again if I make it back to St. John.      Ben Rutland, July 2019

BLUE HEAVEN  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This was our eighth time visiting the Bluebitch. It would have been nine times but those pesky hurricanes had a different agenda for us.

First let me say that the BB is enough of a reason to visit the St. John but Ann and Albion, the owners, are just as much a reason to visit St. John. The BB is their baby and they take care of it with such tenderness in every way. Not a detail is overlooked.  The BB is in the best condition we have ever seen with many improvements.

 

One of our favorites is the expanded area of the deck overlooking the ocean. We have coffee there every morning and we can now see St. Croix on the far left. Inside is all new.  The kitchen is new and sparkles,

the dinning area is all new with such a great view, the living room is all new with increased air circulation with better fans, the bedroom is new with a very comfortable bed and with great color combinations. The bathroom is bright, airy and large with two shower heads.

Our time at the BB starts out on a special and personal note. When you arrive at the airport there is a person waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it. This was a first for us and made us feel so special and welcoming. This person took us to Red Hook and then just a twenty minute boat ride to Cruz Bay where Albion was waiting for us with open arms. The car he picked us up in is also the car we had for our personal use for our entire vacation. The car was clean as a whistle and with a lot of pep.

Even though this was our eighth time at the BB, somehow the BB only gets better each. An example would be with our first trip to the BB eight years ago we had mosquitoes but with all the screened doors and windows they have at the BB now, not one mosquito. That quite a thing to say anywhere in the Caribbean.

The BB is one thing and Ann and Albion are another but you wouldn't have one with out the other. Together they make it a Blue Heaven.

We have our ninth trip already planned and can't wait for it to start all over again. You do truly feel at home there and meeting family members you haven't seen for long while.  Eleven months to go and counting....

OUR STAY AT BLUEBITCH WAS STELLAR!   ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Ann and Albion were remarkable hosts. Ann picked us up at the ferry with what was to be our own 4X4 vehicle and then took us on a short orientation tour of the village and then dropped us to grocery shop in town. Shortly she returned and we arrived at Bluebitch after days travel already with food in our kitchen and ready to relax. We loved sleeping within distance of the waves that we could hear as they lapped the shoreline below. This is an amazing property! The owners have thought of everything & they go over & beyond to see that you have a great vacation! BOOKED AS GUESTS, LEFT AS FAMILY ...Just good folks with a wonderful piece of paradise to share!

My husband and I booked Bluebitch for Oct 2017 & had great communications with Albion and Ann who answered all our questions in a very timely fashion. Sadly, Irmamaria prevented us from coming. A&A contacted us as soon as communications were available (while trying to put their own lives back together), because they wanted to issue a refund, no questions/hassle. We requested they hold the payment so we could return in 2018. This worked out great for everyone.

We were the first guests they were able to welcome after the hurricanes and Bluebitch was in great shape for us. A&A were so worried about some things that weren't the same pre-storms (we would have never noticed), but we thought it was just great and couldn't believe how far they came in such a short period. We had our own parking, easy to negotiate, & 2 great porches: One to the side with a table/chairs in the shade (& a cupboard filled with snorkeling gear if you need it) & a beautiful deck off the MBR looking out to the sea with chaises. That is a new addition post storms and was just great! Both areas are connected with a walkway looking over the ocean.

Inside, we were greeted with all new furnishings, a fully stocked kitchen, & lots of space. The LR/DR have beautiful doors with unobstructed views to the sea, same as the MBR. A&A were still working on replacing the screens to the doors, so we didn't keep them open too often, but those views were great. The bedroom was spacious, tons of storage, & AC that worked great to cool down the room for sleeping. The washer/dryer came in handy for midweek washing. Wifi and cable were still wonky post storms, but we could watch the news on our phones when the TV wasn't working. That will only get better as more recovery takes place.

Bluebitch offers midweek cleaning which is something we are not used to and told A&A not to worry about it as I am sure they had more pressing issues, but it was no problem and very nice.

We really enjoyed being able to walk down to the water edge and hop in whenever we wanted. We had some really enjoyable snorkels here. There are so few options to be on the water in St. John, so we were thankful for the private access.

The BEST part of our stay was the warmth of A&A. They have to be the nicest people around and so concerned for our well-being, all while still trying to rebuild their own lives. I feel like we left as family and look forward to seeing them on future trips to STJ. We are so blessed to have met them.

PARADISE!  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

 

We stayed at Bluebitch for 8 nights in May and had an unbelievable time. This was our 6th trip to St. John (our 40th wedding anniversary) and our 3rd with Ann and Albion. We visit Ann and Albion @ Bluebitch every two years and that will continue hopefully for a long time! We will not stay anywhere on the island except Bluebitch. Not only is Bluebitch paradise, but Ann and Albion have truly become friends. They are as beautiful as Bluebitch! The new all inclusive option is great! It took the hassle out of getting a from/to STT to Red Hook and then the ferry over to St. John.  As always the beach area is truly special. We snorkeled right off the Bluebitch beach! Sunsets are spectacular from waterfront pier built by Albion. Our favorite though is just grilling, having a few drinks and watching the boats and the sunset from the deck after a day at the many spectacular beaches. We'll see you guys on our next visit. THIS IS TRULY  "PARADISE  FOUND!"  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending nine blissful days at this most lovely guest house. Ann and Albion have created a very special place that was paradise in every way, from the beautiful island décor to the exquisite views and grounds. We appreciated the privacy of our setting, as this is not a resort facility surrounded by a lot of people/activity. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy of just the two of us being together in a lovely intimate place. We found ourselves bringing dinner back "home" from various delis and restaurants in order to watch the magnificent sunsets from Albion's fishing pier.   We also snorkeled off our private beach one day, and it was well worth it. We also made use of the car available to snorkel off our

favorite beaches.

                         

We've spent many vacations on St. John over the years, staying at the Westin, Gallow's Point, Caneel Bay, and bareboat sailing, as well.  They were all great places to stay, but they do not compare to the joy

of being in this beautiful and private little piece of heaven on earth . As so many others have said before us, our only regret was having to leave to head back home. We look forward to our stay there next year.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY!  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

We spent 22 days at Bluebitch. The property has gorgeous views and is well equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The hosts live upstairs. They were friendly, informative and helpful. I can't say too much about what wonderful people Ann and Albion Sewer are. I now view them as life long friends.           St. John's is a beautiful island and the people are friendly. Bluebitch is no exception. They have a car available for the duration of the stay which is convenient. A car is a necessity to get around the island. They also provided transportation to and from the airport to the ferry on St. Thomas. All in all, we highly recommend this property. Can't wait to go back!      January 2017

This was our seventh year in a row staying at the Bluebitch and it was our best vacation so far. Ann and Albion make small changes every year to make it better.  You feel so comfortable and relaxed.  St. John is a special place but so are the people of St. John. They are always very friendly and always ready to give a smile to make you feel at home. Wow! Where to begin? My husband and I went to St. John for the first time a few weeks ago and I can't tell you how much we not only loved the island but  also loved Bluebitch. The house is so comfortable (and beautiful) and the attention to detail was so appreciated. Albion taught my husband how to

line fish- throwing a baited hook and line out without a rod! And they caught fish!  Ann and Albion are perfect hosts and we really appreciated  the book in the house where all guests write a synopsis of their stay and the activities and restaurants and was so helpful to read about.  We loved this place so much we have already booked for 2018!  With drink in hand and the waves breaking, we watched every sunset from the private beach provided with Bluebitch. From our first email and phone contact before our travel, the owners here (Ann and Albion) provided everything we needed, imagined and unimagined. They gave us travel information, Al met us at the ferry and took us to the local market for provisions, helped us with our luggage, then Ann gave us a thorough tour of the lovely property. The photos on the Internet represent the accommodation perfectly... No disappointments there. The villa is immaculately clean with many small touches and supplies that we could possibly need. We used their car and advise for exploration and day trips to make the most of our stay on this beautiful island. We keep coming back to St. John, Bluebitch and its wonderful owners!  The house  is only a few minutes away (by car) from downtown Cruz Bay and its restaurants. It's a relatively quick drive to get to the series of public beaches (Hawksnest, Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay). The property is well maintained and clean. It has everything for a comfortable stay (washer, dryer, full kitchen, microwave, etc). The private beach is a

treat! One cannot wish for a better customer service. The owners, Ann and Albion, are very quick to response to any concerns/questions. We highly recommend this property!

This rental lived up to everything Ann and Al claimed. They were the most organized and accommodating of any of my experiences.  Ann will guide you on where the best places are to go and visit and when. She is all you need. Ann and Al were very respectful of giving us our space as we simply wanted a quiet vacation. So much so I was getting worried I would not even meet Al.  I did and wish I could have spent more time with

Everything was pure perfection while staying at this property. This is a property that is a labor of love both inside and out, as the house is gorgeous and the grounds and view are breathtaking. On top of that it was such excellent customer service and care by the owners. This location really is the perfect spot as you watch the sunsets and you are close in driving distance to everything you could need. Our honeymoon was everything we hoped it could be and more, and it would not have been that way without Blue Bitch.

AMAZING VACATION IN EVERY WAY   ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

My husband and I were guests at BlueBitch for 9 glorious nights from June 2 to 11th , 2016. The pictures of this beautiful home do not do it justice.  We felt like we were living in a tropical paradise. Every corner of BlueBitch was designed and built by the owners with love, using native materials such as the blue rock, coral, shells, and colored glass. The décor and layout of the home is perfect, considering every need of their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony having coffee in the morning, or watching the sunset at night. We also enjoyed the sounds of BlueBitch , boats crossing the channel, birds singing, and sometimes a

little steel pan music. Our favorite part of staying at BlueBitch was meeting the owners, Ann and Albion. They are truly the nicest people you'll ever meet. Thanks to Ann we were able to hike to some spots on St. John a little less known, and very special. By the end of our stay, BlueBitch and the special island of St. John, felt like home.
